Harrison Ford is a best movie president

If Harrison Ford runs for presidency, he will be tough competition for Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain.

In a poll conducted by AOL’s Moviefone.com earlier this week, Ford who portrayed US President James Marshall in 1997’s “Air Force One”, was voted the movie president who Americans would vote into office in real time.

The film had the “Indiana Jones” star fighting off airplane hijackers, evidently showing that Americans would prefer a president who can kick butt.

Ford took 24 per cent of the votes, while runner-up Morgan Freeman took 16 per cent, playing a president with a mission to save mankind from a comet heading for Earth in 1998’s “Deep Impact”.

“It seems everybody is looking for a commander-in-chief who can come in and take command,” said Moviefone editor-in-chief Scott Robson. “Our readers voted with their hearts at a time when you have the economy going down the tubes, but in an ideal world it would be great to have a president who can kick some ass.”

Michael Douglas, who played a widowed president looking for love in “The American President” came in third with 15 per cent of votes and Bill Pullman, who fought aliens in “Independence Day” (1996), followed with 12 per cent.
