Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies ~ new collector fragrance bottles

Gwen Stefani will launch her Harajuku Lovers fragrances in new limited edition outfits this September. The Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies collection features the original 5 fragrances in dolls dressed for cold weather (the scents themselves are unchanged). As a representative of Coty noted, “the packaging was a big part of the [Harajuku Lovers'] success”:

Each girl has a new hairdo and snow outfit, complete with scarf and snow shoes to represent her unique personality…Each carton is uniquely color coded with a wintery scene in the background, multi-colored glittery snowflakes, and signature logo.

The Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies will be available in 10 ml for $30 each. The Snow Bunnies will also be sold in a “gift set with personalized compartments for each girl” for $100. (first quote via wwd, subsequent quotes via odftp.com)

Eres F/W 09.10 : Lara Stone

Lara Stone has been tapped as the new model for luxury lingerie and swimwear brand Eres. Stone, who is appearing in several spring-summer 2009 ad campaigns including Givenchy, Hugo Boss and Jean Paul Gaultier, is under a one-year contract with Chanel-owned Eres, and will be featured in the fall-winter 2009 campaign for lingerie in the August edition of fashion magazines in France, Italy, Spain and the U.S. Photographed by Ian Welters, who has done a number of celebrity covers for Elle magazine, Stone will also be featured in Eres’ lingerie and swimwear campaigns for 2010. Valerie Delafosse, creative director of Eres, said the inspiration for the fall-winter campaign was “German Expressionism with a lot of dark colors like faux noir. It’s very Garbo and Dietrich-looking, with a feeling of, ‘Is it a man or a woman?’”

Lauren Bush Debuts New Eco-Friendly Lauren Pierce Collection

We’re big fans of Lauren Bush — not just ’cause she’s the greenest of the famous Bush clan — but also for her commitment to helping others through her FEED campaign. So, it’s no surprise that we’re thrilled about the launch of her new socially conscious fashion brand “Lauren Pierce“. True to form, each collection (Spring, Summer Fall, Winter) will partner with a different women’s cause. For spring ’09, she worked with Women for Women International, which teaches women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo how to hand-dye fabrics.



Of course, the line is also rooted in green with “environmentally friendly fabrics that are of the highest quality as well as handcrafted fabrics from artisans around the world,” says the official site.

And what about the name of the collection? Did an unpopular Presidential uncle have anything to do with it? “The mission is about the fabrics and the cause,” she said at the collection’s launch. “I didn’t want it to be about my personality.”

Supermodels In Joint Swimwear Shoot

Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy and Gisele Bundchen have taken part in a multi-cover swimwear shoot.

The stunning supermodels have been shot for a jam-packed summer '09 edition for W magazine, as the multi-cover fashion trend continues.

According to Catwalk Queen, the sexy six posed for legendary photographer, Mario Testino, all sporting different, unique looks.

Eva Herzigova channels Marilyn Monroe in a blonde wig, denim jacket and black pants, while Naomi Campbell appears to be taking her fashion inspiration from a Playboy bunny.

Gisele Bundchen is actually covered up in her shot, which was a bit of a shock, but our fave cover so far has to be Claudia Schiffer's.

The gorgeous blonde bombshell shows off her amazingly long legs in tiny black swimsuit and YSL caged heels.

Skin Color Seasons: Warm Skin Tone Type

There are some comparative characteristics of the skin color types:

The basic tone of spring nuances – yellow. That is why the tints of this type are more cheerful and brighter than the nuances of the same basic tone for fall gamut.

The basic tone of fall nuances – red. That is why they look richer, heavier, and of sallower complexion than the allied spring ones.

Now let’s distinguish each type thoroughly.

Spring tone type women are typical for:

• Skin – face transparent paleness, delicate gold tone, slight colour of peach hue. Spring type is characteristic by the natural radiation due to such a face color.

• Freckles – if there are any, they are gold-brown.

• Lips – warm red.

• Eyelashes and eyebrows – they are of the same tint that the hair is (light or brown) but in fact they could be a bit darker than hair.

• Sun tan - spring skin type acquires the tan pretty easy despite the delicate skin color. The skin gets the warm reddish-honey, gold-brown or dark-brow hue (that is the main distinction from the fall skin color type that doesn’t tan so well).

• Hair – these are the blonds. Hair tint is goldish or red. There are light and middle dark hues, but there are gold-yellow or gold-red tints in any case too. Spring type women go best with gold-yellow, honey, gold-reddish, copper-red hues when dyeing or streaking.

• Eyes – natural eye colors are: delicate-blue, grey-blue, grey-green, light brown, turquoise.

• Face skin color – the basic tone – cool, that’s why the skin looks tender and noble.

Emma Heming, Bruce Willis's girlfriend, models for La Senza

Emma Heming, the British-born girlfriend of Hollywood actor Bruce Willis, has been unveiled as the new face and body of La Senza lingerie.

Heming, 29, was raised in north London and California and has been dating 53-year-old Willis, star of the Die Hard films and Sixth Sense, for six months.

Gossips have noted her resemblance to Willis's former wife Demi Moore. The couple divorced in 2000, and Moore now has hew own young lover, actor Ashton Kutcher.


One of the world's most successful underwear models, Heming has previously posed for Victoria's Secret, GAP and Garnier.

2009 MET Costume Institute Gala - Blue dresses

This was the most glamorous and fashionable A-list party of the year. As usual, New York based MET Costume Institute Gala is the most anticipated fashion event we’re all looking forward to every year.

This year’s charity event co-hosted by Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Justin Timberlake, was a fab one.

Wall-to-wall crowded with celebs, it showed some hot style and some fashion faux pas too.

What I’d like to focus on is blue dress fashion at 2009 MET Costume Institute Gala, as many big names turned to this color. From light blue to midnight blue, enjoy the blue dress celebrities of “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday!

First of all, I’m in love with Gisele Bundchen’s deep blue mini dress. The sequined gown stressed the supermodel’s long legs and drop-dead gorgeous body.

Katy Perry made her fashion debut at Costume Institute Gala this year. I loved her bright blue dress and cuff bracelet.

Paris posed for paparazzi on the balcony in Malibu - April 2, 2009, for photoshoot at Duke’s. Her view was very special and she looked like Lady GaGa in her futuristic shades and a revealing swimwear outfit and Christian Louboutin high heels.

The swimwear was made of black leather, the waist was accessoried with bandage wide belt, on her arms were batterfly bracelet and gold ring with a black stone. Her hipline was covered with black silk and light sarong.

And then she came out of her apartment dressed in a black sequinned micro mini dress and polca dot botilions. Mysterious style.

Oliver Peoples x Zooey Deschanel Sunglasses

Oliver Peoples decided to team up with the hipster princess Zooey Deschanel to design a few pairs of sunglasses. The shades are very Wayfarer-esque, but I don’t think anyone is really suprised by that at all. I think the glasses look great, but I think that the sunglasses market needs a make over. I’m concerned at how limited your options are when it comes to styles.



I have been in the market for a new pair of shades since my Marc Jacobs from last year have taken quite the beating. Upon shopping around, I have realized I only really have two options, Wayfarers (no thanks!) or Aviators (I look dumb in 99% of them). BUMMER! Let me know if you indies have any suggestions.
