Lindsay Lohan has fit over Paris Hilton

Inviting a tabloid vixen to hype your product can be a risky business.
Let's start with Lindsay Lohan. Last week, the "Mean Girls" star was beckoned to an L.A. event to promote Scandinavian products. But instead of finding Birkenstocks and Viking helmets, she discovered the fete also touted the accessory line of her nemesis, Paris Hilton!
Lindsay looked like she was ready to hurl one of Thor's thunderbolts at the heiress, according to snitches. Lohan's handlers quickly asked organizers to take down backdrop ads with Hilton's name.
"Why would Lindsay ever walk down a carpet of another celebrity's fashion line when she was never told before the event?" a Lohan pal tells us.

Claus Hjelmbak, owner of the Scandinavian Style Mansion, tells Life & Style, "The drama was unnecessary."
Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, says the actress has since received a letter of apology from organizers. Zelnick also refutes a claim that Linds pitched a hissy while shooting a Visa Swap commercial because someone served her a burrito with onions: "She doesn't eat on shoots."
Meanwhile, the owners of Room Service have discovered what it's like to work with Kim Kardashian. The reality star had received half of a promised $5,000 to appear at the Manhattan hot spot last Saturday, sources tell us. But after arriving well after midnight, Kardashian refused to pose for photographers until she received the $2,500 balance. No cash, no flash.
What's more, says a source, "They offered her entourage Veuve Clicquot; she wanted Perrier Jouet. They offered her Fiji Water, she wanted Smart Water."
Around 2 a.m., after getting her money, she finally posed. Says a spy: "She acted like she had just won an Oscar."
Finally, organizers of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala on May 5 might want to keep an eye on Amy Winehouse. A museum rep confirms to us that Winehouse has been asked to perform at the opening of the Armani-sponsored "Superheroes" exhibit, co-chaired by George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Anna Wintour. But perhaps organizers haven't seen that recent photo of the supposedly rehabbed Grammy-winner toting a bottle of vodka, or the one of her arms bearing curious scratches.
Winehouse's rep assures us that the marks are from her kitty. As for the vodka, well, maybe it's a good thing the Costume Institute has also reached out to other performers.
